Supporting Local Charities

Our current economic slump is having a heavy toll on charities and non-profit organizations that are there to assist many of us through difficult times or trauma. The current high employment rate has decreased the number of donations they are receiving leaving many to struggle and in need of these charities themselves. With this larger demand taxing these organization’s efficiency is when the support is mostly needed.

There are many small and large organizations, each supporting some cause or another to improving everyone’s existence. Which one to choose doesn’t matter, just pick something you enjoy and are passionate about. Then find those organizations that support your ideas. Check out the links below to find a charitable organization that would appeal. Charitable giving has many benefits, besides reducing your taxes. According to a German study helping others is the way to higher individual wellbeing.

People demonstrate greater satisfaction within a community with high levels of giving. Giving to those in need always makes me feel pleased that I have made a difference in someone’s life.

If you happen to be one of the fortunate to still be employed, you could always donate funds to the cause close to your heart. For those struggling to make ends meet, volunteering is a great way anyone could help out. Besides making a difference for others, volunteers also benefit themselves with physical activity and learning new skill sets. Socializing could even help you find your next job, employers enjoy having employees that help where needed.

Supporting your local organizations benefits the entire community. Many community organizations obtain most of their funding from private donations. These local organizations being more localized tend to respond faster and more appropriately to the needs of local communities than larger organizations can. What you have put in stays in the community and benefits the local economy.

Also for the last 20 years, he has been a printer, plotter, scanner and 3D printer technician and installer. Since High School, he also has worked as a janitor, cabinet maker, building construction, landscaper/designer, computer operator producing microfiche, graphic artist, and webmaster, among other professions, qualifying him as a Jack-of-All-Trades.
