Enlightened Holidays at the Zoo

Get in the holiday spirit at the Calgary Zoo. With over 2 Million lights it will certainly brighten up your evening. Come with family and friends and appreciate a stroll through the Zoo’s 21st annual glowtastic Christmas light display. Take a break at the warming fire pits with a cup of hot chocolate after enjoying a relaxing skate in the winter wonderland.

Wander indoors through the Enchanted Forest at the Enmax Conservatory and make a wish at the Apple Wishing Tree. Be sure to visit the large Gingerbread Castle while walking through the magically decorated tropical oasis. Partake in crafts and conservatory activities at the Sustainability Factory and discover how to do the planet some good by supporting conservation.

Along with the enchanting activities, you will encounter Snow White, the Evil Queen, and the Seven Stewards of the Forest, a Disney classic with a conservation twist. Every Thursday you have a chance to speak to the magic mirror and have your picture taken with the Evil Queen on Fridays. And of course, Santa will be there wanting to talk to you about how good you were.

There is much to do at ZOOLIGHTS. Enjoy Christmas carolling and ballet performances by Sugar Plum Fairies. Friday nights enjoy gingerbread cookies at the Gingerbread Castle. Test your axe throwing skills every Thursday and Saturdays you can see how skillful you are by getting out of the Escape Room.

Since High School, he also has worked as a janitor, cabinet maker, building construction, landscaper/designer, computer operator producing microfiche, graphic artist, and webmaster, among many other professions. This qualifies him as a Jack-of-All-Trades with plenty of knowledge in many subjects.
