WebStamp - Year In Review

The year 2020 is one that will be remembered in the history books as a year of disasters. We already had a depressed economy and then the COVID-19 pandemic hit that devasted the world’s economy. It showed how fragile and volatile the current capitalistic economy is. Rapid climate change caused by pollution of the air, land and water is warming up the World and causing many more extreme devasting weather phenomena disasters. As with many disasters and economic disruptions, there is a balancing of human rights, income, and sustainability and 2020 will become that catalyst towards equalization.

 The economy has become a system where It’s All About The Money being used as a means to acquire more money with money. This inflationary method of commerce provides no value to the general public in providing goods and services and widens the gap between income equality. For the last year, WebStamp has been encouraging Calgarians to Make A M.A.D. Move and Make A Difference in developing a more durable and sustainable system of commerce.

All Calgarians can Make A Difference simply by following the 5Rs For Sustainable Living which will already help Curb Climate Change while Reducing Global Economic Volatility. WebStamp has encouraged shopping locally to Energize Local Commerce while we Build A Better Economy as the pandemic subsides. Get your inspiration from the Global Sustainability Goals of the United Nations and choose from ending hunger and poverty, providing all with proper healthcare and education, equality, environmental protection, and/or developing sustainable economies and communities.   

We can build an improved world if we all work together instead of competing with each other. There are better ways to build homes that are much more affordable and eco-friendlier. Building Self-Sustaining Communities would provide the security of surviving a disaster.  One can always attempt to Tame the Plastic Waste Epidemic to end environmental and physical harm or discover ways to Avoid The Winter Driving Pandemic.

Is it Times Up For Daylight Saving or shall we End Standard Time in Alberta? Join the many that would like to see a stop to this disruptive bi-yearly practice that interferes with our daily lives. Will Industrial Hemp become the next cash crop that we can grow, harvest, and produce over 50,000 different products locally for a Green Local Economic Recovery. Do We Part With A Historic Icon or should we preserve a symbol and skyline of Calgary? Voice your opinion and take the 1-Question Survey to Save the Saddledome.

During 2020 WebStamp has shown that even though things are far from normal we can Make A Difference towards building a better place to live. Participate in Rebuilding the Economic Model. René has been involved in the publishing and printing industry since the 1970s. He has published and distributed a successful 24-page weekly news advertiser with a circulation of 4400 copies. Also for the last 20 years, he has been a printer, plotter, scanner and 3D printer technician and installer. Since High School, he also has worked as a janitor, cabinet maker, building construction, landscaper/designer, computer operator producing microfiche, graphic artist, and webmaster, among many other professions. This qualifies him as a Jack-of-All-Trades with plenty of knowledge in many subjects.
