Restore The Earth Day 2021

Since its inception in 1970, the first Earth Day has evolved into the world’s largest recruiter to educate and activate an environmental movement worldwide with over 75,000 partners in over 190 countries. Last year’s 50th anniversary Earth Day theme was to help the World breathe easier combating climate change by tackling the issues of preserving the life-support systems for a habitable world. With the COVID pandemic, Earth Day went digital. Everyone was encouraged to download the Earth Challenge 2020 app and engage in citizen science to record the conditions in our local environment.

This year the theme for Earth Day 2021 is to Restore Our Earth™. With climate change, species loss, pandemics, and massive natural disasters defining our future, we need to do something now to prevent our destruction. Everyone is encouraged to promote the solutions that are currently available, both natural and technological, working together to succeed in restoring the Earth.

Make A Difference by joining one of EARTHDAY.ORG Restore Our Earth™ campaigns. There is the Canopy Project where every $1 = 1 sustainably planted tree for a greener future for everyone. The Great Global Cleanup where volunteers can participate in individual or group cleanups, or while keeping in shape plogging. One can also make the M.A.D. Move and become a Citizen Scientists and collect billions of observations in air and water quality, insect populations, climate change, plastic pollution and food sustainability providing valuable environmental insight for positive change.

Shrinking your Foodprint reduces the environmental impact associated with the natural resources consumed to the pollution produced growing, producing, transporting, and storing of our food. Hempoffset wants you to be a hero and join their movement to combat Climate Change. They are interested in promoting Industrial Hemp For A Green Recovery. With farmers growing a hardy Hemp crop, we are not only removing carbon from the atmosphere but will be able to build a sustainable local economy producing more durable biodegradable products and nutritious food.

Participate in Earth Day 2021 on April 22, 2021, even if it is only providing Climate Literacy. There are many schools worldwide participating with students participating in Earth Day activities. If you can’t find any Earth Day events in your area, create your own. Educate, plant a tree, muster a community cleanup campaign, and register your Earth Day Event so others can participate. Be Part of the Change and Restore The EarthTM.
