Enjoying the Festive Season
Even though the Year-end Holiday Festivities have become quite commercialized in this new Century, the Christmas/Hanukah/? and New Year celebrations atmosphere remains. The current economic crisis has subdued the celebrations this year and has many tightening their belts. Yet we can still enjoy the Holidays without getting stressed by toning down the hustle and bustle, giving less but more mindful, sustainable, and responsible gifts, and only attending those events and activities you enjoy.
Let us not forget the origins of the Holiday Season from Pegan roots where the Traditions Of Christmas Are For All. Today it is about promoting peace and joy and goodwill toward men, something that is reflected in all religions meaning the Holidays are for all. Many of the traditions, such as gift giving, derived from giving to those giving during the winter solstice celebrations when their need was the greatest. This holiday season there a many more in need. If your circumstances are better than most be sure to Participate In The Spirit of helping those in need around you and make sure you spread peace and joy to all.
Remember Christmas isn’t about the consumerism and materialism with the competitiveness to impress, but rather a time to socialize with family, friends, and neighbours and make a difference for all, including yourself. This year Make A Difference supporting the local economy and Make It a Local M.A.D. Christmas. Be Sure To Enjoy Yourself this Holiday Season and have A Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year.
